Before asking “who can manufacture this?”, work out whether the product is worth manufacturing at all.
Some product ideas fail on arithmetic rather than on manufacturing. Freight costs more than expected, packaging adds more than was allowed for, the marketplace takes its cut before anything reaches you, and the product that looked like it made $14 a unit makes $3. That outcome doesn't need a factory visit to foresee — it needs an afternoon with a calculator and a willingness to hear a disappointing answer.
This free 11-page checklist is that afternoon. Six categories, 26 questions, and a confidence box beside each one that you tick only if you could point to where the answer came from.
What it works through
- Customer and problem — whether a specific person has a problem that costs them something
- Competition and switching — whether there's a reason to change behaviour
- Price and margin — whether anything survives
- Manufacturing complexity — how much can go wrong
- MOQ, inventory and cash — how much money becomes stock
- Packaging, freight, IP and regulatory — costs that surface after ordering
It ends with nine red flags that can override an otherwise good-looking idea, and a result page that puts your unanswered questions first and the score last — deliberately.
What the score measures. Not how good your idea is. How well evidenced your answers are. It is not a probability of success: a well-evidenced idea can still fail, and a poorly evidenced one can still work. What it tells you is how much of your decision currently rests on belief rather than information.
Who it's for
Anyone considering having a physical product made — a first product, a line extension, or an idea that has been sitting in a drawer. It assumes no manufacturing experience.
It won't tell you whether your product will sell. Nothing can. It is a decision-support tool that measures the state of your evidence, and it is deliberately more likely to slow you down than speed you up.

What comes after
If the checklist leaves you with real unanswered questions, the Product Feasibility Workbook (AUD $49) works the numbers out rather than scoring them, and the Product Idea Review (AUD $249) is a written second opinion from a person. If your gaps were narrow, you don't need either — go and close them.
